Northern Alliance Round Up 19/04/14



Malcolm Morien and David Atkinson both bagged braces in Blyth Town’s win at Rutherford.
Dan Beresford added the other for the leaders with Eddie Keenan pulling one back for the hosts – who also pounded the woodwork three times.
Goals from Adam Smith and Dan Murray in the last five minutes gave Hebburn Reyrolle a lifeline as they beat Percy Main.
Aiden McCafferty had grabbed an early opener that was cancelled out by Sam Thompson.
Richie Latimer shot Killingworth Station ahead at Carlisle City but the Cumbrians hit back with goals from Dave Fisher (2) and Peter Ferris while Karl Campbell and Kane White netted for Stocksfield at Shankhouse, who pulled one back through Joel Arnold.
Justin Millican’s opener for Wallington was cancelled out by Ashington Colliers Darren Riddell and Kevin Westphal hit the only goal for a youthful Seaton Delaval side as they took the three points at Whitley Bay A.
Kane Chirnside, Andrew Breheny and Glen Johnson struck for Willington Quay Saints as the basement side pulled off a crucial win at Newcastle Uni. Chris Vant replied for the Students.
Goals from Shaun Cowel and Reece Farrel earned Bedlington Terriers Reserves victory over Cullercoats, with James Carr replying and Newcastle Chemfica’s title hopes took a dent at in-form Bohemians, who had Daniel Ure and Louis O’Donohue on the scoresheet.
North Shields Athletic’s scorers were John Wyres, Scott Jasper and Anthony Keith in a narrow win over Gateshead Redheugh, who had Liam Henderson and Alan Pegram on target.
New Fordley’s Dean Lees fired in against Birtley Saint Josephs with Dan Irving striking for the visitors and Patrick MacLindon bagged a brace in Hexham’s win over Ponteland United with Tom Hacken getting the other.
David Short struck twice in Longbenton’s victory at West Allotment Celtic A that put them back on top of Division Two with Michael Meins (2) and Che Aisbitt crashing in for Blyth Isabella as they beat AFC Newbiggin to keep up the pressure.
Nicky Whitelaw and Jordan Robertson fired in for Wallsend Boys Club in their win over Alnwick Town Reserves, who netted through Andrew Kiddell.
Nick Little’s unlucky own goal gave Seaton Burn a victory at Whitburn Athletic and the points were shared in the basement battle between Swalwell and Cramlington United.
Dan Igo struck twice from the penalty spot for Swalwell and David Jeffers got the other as they came from behind three times – Dan Gray, Martin Kelly and Mark Nicholson all scored in the first half for United.
