The high winds and rain again had an effect on the Northern Alliance programme, with five games falling foul
of the weather.
Blyth
Town had Ian Lee and
Malcolm Morien on target against Percy Main as they retained top spot in the
Premier Division.
Lee struck from close range in the 225th minute
and Morien fired in the second from the edge of the box in the 81st.
John Paxton slammed in a first half double as Wallington
went back into second place with a storming win at Red House Farm.
Sam Walton and Jordan Nellis were also on the scoresheet for
the Greens, with Alex Benjamin notching the reply.
Cramlington
Town lead Division One by
five points as they beat Wooler.
Jordan Watson put Town ahead after Fraser Tait’s penalty for
the visitors had been saved. Second half strikes from David Mason and Danny
McDonald sealed the three points, with Tom Parr netting for the Glendale side.
Gateshead Redheugh had Ryan Davenport and Robbie Frame (2)
on target at Ponteland United, but the black and whites came from behind to win
it with goals from Craig Cook, Andrew Davidson (2) and Daniel Wright (2).
Derek Waters struck twice in Chopwell’s victory at Gateshead
Leam Rangers that took them up into third.
Chris Muncaster and Craig Willis got the others, Louis Meach
and James Fenwick replying.
