Northern Alliance Round Up 12/11/11

Heaton Stannington must have feared the worst when Seaton Delaval were awarded a penalty deep into stoppage time with the score deadlocked at 1-1.
The normally dependable Grant Kershaw stepped up and placed the ball on the spot, took a quick glance at the keeper and decided to go for power.
He jogged up and was left with his head in his hands as he blazed it over the bar, preserving the visitor’s top spot.
Kevin Carr had shot them ahead early in the game but Delaval had levelled through debutant Matthew Wade and had it not been for a couple of outstanding saves by the Heaton goalkeeper, they would have been trailing before the unlucky Kershaw’s spot-kick miss.
Carlisle City’s Ashley Pattinson levelled Paul Collinson’s early opener right on half time and the Sky Blues went on to score a winner through Martin Coulthard in the 68th minute that moves them up into second spot with a game in hand.
Rutherford’s Andy Reay fired in the only goal of the game against Shankhouse from 8 yards in the 65th minute and although Ashington Colliers went ahead at Hebburn Reyrolle through Shaun Gibson, Ray Oshin, Dean Patton and a Craig Watson penalty gave the home side the three points.
Nkuria Suiabu’s spectacular overhead kick gave Percy Main the lead against his former club Ponteland United after just 30 seconds. John Dunn levelled and Paul Jones put United in front before Tony Abladey restored parity.
United’s Liam Anderson shot them back in front and it looked like they were heading for a win, but in the last minute Jeavan Jull rose highest to power in an equaliser from Kevin Westphall’s corner.
It’s becoming a real scrap at the bottom of the table and Ben Pearson (2), Chris Fairless (pen), Scott Johnson and James Stoves fired in for Stocksfield as they came from behind three times at Murton to claim an important win.
Micky Taylor, Gav Nesbitt and Luke Wallace netted for the home side, who have now slipped into the basement.
Harraby CC went into the fourth round of the Cumberland FA Senior Cup as reserve striker Dean Armstrong netted four times in a 6-2 victory over Workington Red House. Chris ferrie and Matthew Bell added the others.
Sean Taylor struck twice and he was joined on the scoresheet by Ross Gair, Darren Riddell and Lee Harker as Division One leaders Amble United romped to a 5-1 win at in-form Heddon. Andrew Lee Davidson hit the consolation.
Wallsend Town kept pace in second with a six-goal blast over Newcastle Chemfica Independent, Craige Burke leading the way with a hat-trick and James Mills, Paul Mills and Paul McHutcheon also notching.
Daniel Clements hit five for Newcastle Uni in their 7-2 success at Cullercoats. Luke Fisher and Henry Scutt added the others with Steven Hart and Sean Smith scoring for the shell-shocked home team.
Andy Parkinson, Tom Ford and Daniel Childs were on target for Gosforth Bohemians in their 3-0 success at Morpeth Sporting and Dan Thompson got the winner for Wallington as they saw off Forest Hall.
Willington Quay Saints consigned Division Two leaders Red House Farm to their first defeat of the season as they hit them for six on their own turf.
Kane Chirnside (2), Stephen Cape, Glen Johnson, Dale Johnson and Noel Clynch were the Saints goal heroes and goals from Jack Bell and Rob Nolan were just consolations for the top side, while Steven Graham netted four for second placed Harton & Westoe CW as they thumped Cramlington United 9-0.
Sean Edwards hit a hat-trick and Andrew Quinn and James Hedley completed the rout.
Wallsend Boys Club’s Dylan Adamson slotted a first-half hat-trick against Bedlington Terriers Reserves and Andrew Robertson got the other, with Jake Turnbull and Mark Nicholson replying.
It also ended 4-2 at Wideopen, with visitors Hexham taking the points. Liam Heenan struck twice and Neil Tiffin and Alistair Stobbs got the others. Chris Sword hit a double for Wideopen.
Second half goals from Brad McLellend, Nathan Price and Chris Moffat gave Alnwick Town reserves three points against Swalwell and goals from Andy hall and John Wright ensured an Alston victory over New Fordley, James Peacey hitting home for the visitors.
Mark Worral hit two and rattled the woodwork in Northbanks’s 3-1 success over North Shields Athletic. Simon Robinson added the other with Robert Hamilton the visitor’s hit-man.
Stephen Spoors bagged a brace in Whickham Lang Jacks’ 3-2 Pin Point Recruitment Amateur Cup win at Seaton Burn. Ryan Davenport got the other, with David Hewitt netting a double for the home side.
