pitches, the Northern Alliance programme took
another heavy hit.

in a penalty shoot-out after the game had ended goalless to go into the Les
Todd Northumberland FA Senior Benevolent Bowl semi finals. Keeper Michael
Hammond saved twice to earn the plaudits.
Dean Laycock and Steve McLaughlin fired in for Newcastle Chemfica
(Independent) as they secured a spot in the Northumberland FA Minor Cup
semi-finals by beating Ponteland United.
Kev Bell’s double for Wooler was cancelled out by two Dan
Clements strikes for Newcastle Uni in a promotion-chasing Division One clash while
Shaun Sager hit a hat-trick for Grainger
Park in an exciting ten-goal
Second Division encounter with Newcastle Benfield on the 3G pitch at Blakelaw.
Liam Anderson struck twice and Nathan Lowdon got the other
with Ben Jefferson also crashing in three times for Benfield Reserves as the
game swung from end-to-end. Andrew McBride was also on target.
Chris Marshall was a hat-trick hero for High Howdon in their
Friday night encounter at West Allotment Celtic A. Luke Molloy got the other,
with Shaun Boyle striking for Celtic.
