Carlisle
City turned up the heat
at the top of the table as they beat Amble United and moved to within six
points of the leaders, with three games in hand.
Tom Lucock fired the Cumbrians ahead from the penalty spot
after just two minutes and although Ross Gair levelled for the Seasiders with
another penalty 14 minutes later, Stuart Kilgour arrived unmarked to head in
the winner at the near post four minutes after the break.
Harraby United’s Jonathon Simpson bagged a brace as they saw
off Shankhouse.
Alan Casey and Ryan Errington netted the others with Rees
Farndell netting the consolation.
Kicks Leisure George Dobbins League Cup
First half strikes from Justin Millican, Josh Gilmartin and
Sam Walton put Wallington into the final as they comfortably saw off fellow
First Division side Ponteland United.
Division One
There were own goals at both ends as Newcastle Uni won a
seven-goal thriller at Hexham.
In-form Students striker Tom Stapleton struck twice and Jake
Salisbury got the other with Scott Coates and Jamie Peel the Tynedale scorers
in a game that they were always chasing.
Division Two
Wooler’s Mark Forrest was on target as they were held by
fourth-placed Wideopen.
Lee Shickle netted for the visitors with both sides probably
happy to settle for a point while Alnwick Town Reserves hit-man Steven Hutchins
fired a brace as they beat Seaton Burn.
Ross Straughan got the other and the visitors had Reece
Noble and Nicky Hara on the scoresheet.
